Metrum has recently won a major strategic procurement for Svenska Kraftnät, which means that the company has signed a new framework agreement. The agreement includes delivery of new power quality- and control meters for installation in all main grid stations, which provides a large volume of qualified meters in Sweden’s transmission network.
Metrum has previously been a system supplier to Svenska Kraftnät and, in addition to control meters, have also delivered a large volume of station meters for local power, meters for HVDC and meters for proactive disturbance analysis and error detection.
Svenska Kraftnät uses Metrum’s comprehensive collection- and analysis system (Metrum PQ Controller) for continuous analysis and has also integrated Metrum’s system with a number of external systems for increased use of collected measurement data.
Metrum’s CEO (Robert Olofsson) “We are grateful and very happy that Svenska Kraftnät has chosen Metrum as the supplier of the power quality- and control meters of the future for the transmission network and look forward to continuing our cooperation in a number of different areas that can strengthen Sweden’s electricity grid and enable prevention efforts for optimized operation and minimized operational disruptions’.
The Swedish transmission network for electricity consists of approximately 16,000 km of power lines, roughly 175 transformer- and switching stations as well as foreign connections with both alternating and direct current.
