Metrum is now launching not one but two new measuring instruments, both based on the high-performance PQX3 platform. The instruments meet the market’s rising need for both measurement and regulation.
Sundsvall Elnät is investing in new communication equipment to enable the company to improve the collection of measured values from its new electricity meters. At the same time, the company is taking the opportunity to connect existing electric power-quality meters to the new communication infrastructure.
New technical solutions are needed to maximize capacity and flexibility in the grid without costly rebuilding. Metrum’s PQX3 series has been further developed and given new functionality for dynamic monitoring, control and regulation of power-grid components.

The substantial outage that occurred in Svenska Kraftnät’s station in Hagby on Tuesday 25 April was recorded by Metrum’s measurement system with high-resolution measurement data both before and after the outage.
