Opportunities in Energy and Electricity Infrastructure in Western Balkans countries.
Metrum was invited by Sweden Foreign Minister Margot Wallström to participate in a panel 24th of June on economic development in the Western Balkan region, as part of an EU integration. A panel introduced by Sweden Minister of Foreign Trade Ann Linde, where Ministers from Western Balkan discussed and highlighted interest and importance of investments in renewable energy as well as the grid infrastructure. Except interesting input from Metrum on the importance of measurement of power quality in the energy transition,

Metrum will participate and speak in a panel organised by Swedish Smart Grid in Almedalen 4th July. Almedalen is the annual and most important democratic meeting place in Sweden, where key leading innovative companies like Metrum participates as well as many ministers, organisations and research institutions.

Deputy Minister of Trade from Sweden, Mr Niklas Johansson, highlighted the importance of measurements, including at power quality, during his key note at Africa Utility Week, 14-16 May 2019 in Cape Town. Minister of Energy, Mr Jeff  Radebe, from South Africa, attended the Nordic Utility Days as well and stated that the economy is not growing in line with expectations in South Africa and that the energy sector is the engine of economic growth. There is a need to increase the energy generation and old infrastructure needs to be upgraded due to renewable energy.
