Metrum successful contribution to the latest Cigré-conference focus at Distribution Utilities (Santiago, Chile)

Metrum participates at different Cigré conferences around the world and recently also participated in Santiago, Chile. The conference program was this time focused on the Distribution grid and had many different topics from new regulations to future system solutions to meet both the regulations such as the rising problems due to increasing amount of renewable energy sources. Metrum invited by Minister of Foreign Affairs – EU Integration of Western Balkans.

Opportunities in Energy and Electricity Infrastructure in Western Balkans countries. Metrum was invited by Sweden Foreign Minister Margot Wallström to participate in a panel 24th of June on economic development in the Western Balkan region, as part of an EU integration. A panel introduced by Sweden Minister of Foreign Trade Ann Linde, where Ministers from Western Balkan discussed and highlighted interest and importance of investments in renewable energy as well as the grid infrastructure. Power Quality in focus at Africa Utility Week – Metrum part of the Nordic Utility Days

Deputy Minister of Trade from Sweden, Mr Niklas Johansson, highlighted the importance of measurements, including at power quality, during his key note at Africa Utility Week, 14-16 May 2019 in Cape Town. Minister of Energy, Mr Jeff  Radebe, from South Africa, attended the Nordic Utility Days as well and stated that the economy is not growing in line with expectations in South Africa and that the energy sector is the engine of economic growth.
